近日，哈爾濱工業大學深圳校區宋清海教授團隊在高純度超集成手性光源領域取得重要突破，利用手性準連續域束縛態(bound states in the continuum, bics)實現了從自發輻射到激光的高純度、高方向性與高q值圓偏振光發射。9月9日，研究成果以《諧振超表面手性輻射》(chiral emission from resonant metasurfaces)為題發表在《科學》(science)上。
與傳統方式相比，手性準bics提供了一種全新的方案，在無需自旋注入的情況下即可實現控制自發輻射和激光的光譜、遠場以及自旋角動量。
